It's a little known fact that in the 60's The Jimmy C's manager, Denis Monkstein, worked as a freelance photographer and frequently sold photos to Playboy, Gent, Swank and many other "Gentleman's Comfort" magazines of the era. Monkstein - always a fan of blatant cross promotion - had his models pose with records to create a "this could easily happen in your home" atmosphere, using records by his artists. Instead of reaching a wider audience, the effect of this was that The Jimmy C played mostly to perverts and horny teenage boys.
